Lawton-Bronson Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team.
At Lawton-Bronson, we are proud of the strong systems and collaborative culture we have built to ensure every student receives the instruction, interventions, and support necessary to succeed. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about meeting students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, while working closely with colleagues and families to maximize student growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Use data to inform instruction and progress monitoring
• Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
Qualifications:
• Must hold or be able to obtain appropriate Iowa teaching licensure
• Must hold or be able to obtain a Special Education endorsement
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices
• Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement

Position Overview:
Lawton-Bronson Elementary is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to serve as a Preschool Teacher for a newly added third section due to continued program growth. We are committed to providing a strong early childhood foundation that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of our youngest learners.
Program Schedule:
Four full student days (Monday–Thursday)
Wednesday: One-hour early dismissal for teacher professional development
Friday: Teacher work day for planning, collaboration, and preparation
Required Qualifications:
Iowa teaching license
ECSE Endorsement (PK-3 Teacher, Regular Education/Special Education – 100)
